|

I'm planning to move to CR at the end of the summer and I'm looking to teach (cause that seems to be where the jobs are), but I'm curious, are there other jobs out there for the estadounidenses? I hear, here and there, that resorts sometimes look to hire americans - is that a myth? or just really hard to find?
Anyway, just looking for info, trying explore the options, see what's out there. Any help is appreciated.

There are other jobs available besides in teaching. Sportsbooks, tourism companies, survey companies, IT companies, HP, Intel, Sykes, Chiquita, Western Union, Language Line, etc. Most of these companies have websites that you can check out and apply online. These jobs are usually related to customer service, computer engineering, management, web design, etc. Its a plus if you speak Spanish. These companies usually ask that you have a work permit.
Hotels and resorts do hire as well and usually you need to speak sufficient Spanish.
Check the Empleos section in www.economicos.com for different job opportunities and the La Nacin newspaper when you arrive as there are often job listings that are not posted online. |
