Anyone there recently or since last yaer's catastrophe?

Is it expensive or cheap, heard it was getting more commercial but may be less so now... Im heading there for a few days..

Well most of the damage was on the other side of the country so I dont think its been too much of a problem.

I guess it has become more popular since I first visited fifteen years ago but I dont think its as bad as Samui where the 'Irish Pub' and KFC meet Mcdonalds. The full moon party is a big draw still and brings in thousands of people for short term jollies.

Its still a good place to go imho and I would probably choose it over ?Samui. In terms of prices things do seem to jump north around party time but you could do it on a tenner UK a day if you needed to.
