In February this year my girlfriend and I found a good job in Hunan Institute of Technology in Hengyang, Hunan province. This was thanks to Mr Zhang and www.tefl.cc. Once we got here we thanked them by email.

Half an hour ago, by utter accident, we found a post on www.englishschoolwatch.org SIGNED BY US. The poster keeps thanking Mr Zhang in appalling English for being such a perfect recruiter. This post bears some resemblance to the email we sent to Mr Zhang in February, bus has been thoroughly rewritten and posted WITHOUT OUR CONSENT on englishschoolwatch.org. It not only makes us appear completely unprofessional as English speakers and teachers but also defames non-native English speakers in general - some of the readers' comments in condescending words refer to non-native EFL teachers as too stupid to know what was going on when they signed the contract and that only highly unprofessional teachers from certain parts of Europe can agree to take up a job at this kind of schools. We want to strongly assert that we had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with this post and that although we used to have a good opinion of this agency THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

It would be funny if it weren't so irritating!

That would be bloody irritating. Also what I am wondering is if they were just going to copy your words without permission, why not just copy the original e-mail? At the very least it would be slightly less annoying.

It's unfortunately one of those things that you just can't un-see. Probably best to laugh about it and move on. Unless it happens again of course.
I'm going to be careful with any written praise of mine from now on.

It seems like most people on that thread figured out that the email was not genuine.

Not all though. And I'm wondering how many people just read the message and moved on without replying! I'm glad this Zhang guy didn't post our family names...

You should write how Mr Zhang and his agency wrote a reference letter in your name to the englishschoolwatch.org

The English was terrible how anyone could believe that was from a Native would be a sad.
