|

Has anyone stored luggage at Retiro Bus Station? I have some bags that are too big for the lockers and need a place to leave them. Two Questions:
1. Do they have left luggage at Retiro that is not the lockers?
2. Is it safe? I have heard a decent amount of stories about robbery, even picked locks. |

There is a left luggage place on the ground floor, opposite the encomiendas... It is a bit pricey though, I remember paying $5 for a couple of hours.... |

It might be that it was $5 for up to 24hours, and there wasn't any 'fracturacion' smaller than that, so I had to pay that even though I only needed it for a couple of hours.... so you might get away with $10 for a couple of days... But generally Retiro is absurdly expensive, if I need to get a coffee or eat of anything I tend to go to the little corner of Asuncion just outside... |

I thought Retiro was pricey... I was stuck in Ezeiza on Saturday, waiting for someone to get in a flight that was 5 hours late, starving hungry but $17 for a lomito! $7.20 for a ham and cheese pebete.... $5 an hour internet.... and $45 return to the centre..... Heathrow's cheaper than that!!!

You think those prices are bad!
I've been to Argentina a bunch of times, mostly as a kid. I usually have a ride waiting at the airport. This last time I decided to come early as a surprise. I landed in BA and went to take a taxi. Some guy approached me speaking English poorly. He said he would take me to 1500 Corrientes (rent-a-car) for 75 pesos. He acted like this was some DEAL. If I didn't know the standard fair was 45 pesos he might have fooled me!! As soon as I started speaking Castillano he wanted nothing more to do with me, and moved on to his next victim! |
