have anyone heard of a recruiter/organization called Map Languages? They are advertising a job on another board in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

If anyone has any info (I think they are based in the UK) please let me know.

Thanks,
Fallon.

I don't know for sure but I think Map Languages is a new, private language school that commenced business this year.

Having a UK based Yahoo email address means nothing.

25 teaching hours at a private language school means 1,500 minutes of teaching per month. Breaks in between classes and a requirement to report for duty 30 minutes before your first scheduled class each day and are normally included in your teaching hours.

20 hours at a university usually means 20 periods of 40 / 45 minutes duration, amounting to 800 / 900 teaching per month.

The 'hours' at a private language school are often all day Saturday and Sunday + weekday evenings. At a university the hours are usually allocated between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Some languages schools employ foreign teachers and then hire the teachers out to 'regular' schools who want the services of a foreign teacher for only, say, 4 hours per week.

"Ages from kindergarten to middle school" may indicate that Map Languages will send you to teach at many different schools and kindergartens each week. Many private language schools do this. Time taken to travel from one school to another is often not included in your teaching hours and can add up to 10 hours a week.

"Transport allowance to get to school and back." Also indicates that there is a measure of 'running around' involved which will almost certainly not be included in your 25 teachings hours.

"Possibility of up to 10 hours administrative and marketing hours a week" indicates that you may end up working 35 - 40 hours per week.

Shared accommodation? A personal choice, but not my choice. Sharing with how many?

'Marketing hours' could be standing on street corners handing out fliers.

That's almost surely what it is.
It probably wouldn't happen very often, as it would require someone having enough organization to send the teachers out and accompany them on the task, to make sure said teachers don't just dump the fliers, or put the whole stack in the local crowded square for people to pick up (though that would be better than nothing, I suppose).
