Hi, Canadian with five years of post. sec. education but unfortunately not at the university level so it seems that I do not qualify to teach in most countries...unless you can offer suggestions to get around this requirement. I am an employed professional seeking to teach ESL this summer for a minimum of one year. It seems China will accept a college based education so I've been scanning the web. Way too many recruiting agencies and I would like to here your comments and suggestions.
I would be leaving job, home and teenage son so I cannot afford as one of the horror stories.
thanks

Don't go with a recruiting agency. Find the job yourself. Follow the basic rules of asking a prospective employer for the email addresses of present and former teachers to check out the school. Then actually do it.
Technically the schools in China can't get the appropriate visa for you if you don't have a degree but sometimes a case can be made so document all your post-secondary education. |
