socializing: no problem. beer is cheap, bus tickets to the beach run about five bucks, hostels are easy to find, and a lot of teaching jobs give you friday or monday off.
transportation costs: very low. seriously. even taxis are cheap if you're thinking in dollars (which, by the way, I do not recommend you make a habit of!)
living: $200? for a SHARED apartment? you're crazy. I have a two bedroom furnished place in San Pedro, and that costs $300. when I first came here I got a room for about $100. trust me, if you've got to go cheap, you'll be able to find cheap. |
