There's been much debate of late, albeit as asides, about who is or what makes a good teacher ... as a way to end once and for all this most subjective of discussions and to determine if you are a real educator you could always try taking the following personality test ...

that link has already been posted on this forum and it certainly did not end the discussion once and for all--as it shouldn't. The making of a teacher is a process and needs discussion and introspection, among other things. |

Are you quite sure?
I ran it on the search engine and it did not appear in any of those threads that appeared in the results .. not including the two threads I didn't intend sifting through due to the excessive number of replies ... 78 pages on one ... |

Did you actually open the link?

There's enough here, in your reply, to build a case for suspecting that you haven't opened it. |

We did have that link before. I was Lisa the last time too. Does that mean I'm a true educator or not? What about on the Star Wars quiz (probably from the same thread) where I was that giant ice cave-dwelling monster from Empire Strikes Back? Does this speak to my teaching ability?
Or is someone just full of dooky?
Might be me... |

Ah yes. Principle Skinner and Mrs. Crabapple are fine educators. And Lisa's teacher, whatever her name is...
On one of the Star War quizzes, my sociability rating matched that of the ice monster. I can't remember its name. Whompa or Banta or something. |

Apologies for the repetition of the link ... it was merely an effort on my part to remove the gloves ... |

It was Wampa. He liked to hang his victims upside down and nibble them slowly I guess. Minimally nicer than that hole in the desert that takes 1,000 years to digest you.

The sub Dustin Hoffman played on the Simpson's was a good teacher. |

So without even opening this link are you judged to be a REAL teacher if you know a lot about STAR WARS ? |

Sounds good to me. Also if you know a lot about the Simpson's. Also if you take online film/TV-related quizzes to learn about yourself.... |

Well makes you wonder how any teaching got done before there were any tv games or quizzes, come to think of it before the 19th century when electricity was discovered . |

I really wonder how anything at all got done before Internet...
You can vent your frustration on me, if you like. But be forewarned that I'm a Wampa at heart and I may string you upside down in my ice cave with all the other corpses... I'm unpredictable like that. |
