I seem to see alot of posts that mention one can work part-time via a dependent visa if they can supply certain "documents"... What are these documents? References? Work History? |

Just ask immigration for a document that gives you permission to perform activities outside of your visa. If they are still confounded, explain that you want to work part-time and need the proper forms. |

Depending on who the dependent is you may also have to field some questions or provide proof that part time work will not be a detriment to family life. If you have kids and the wife wants to work she may have to deal with some hoops (but you won't have to produce any additional paper work). As for the reverse, I didn't have any problem getting the permission for my husband- though I have a hell of a time with personnel department with taxes and forms. They STILL haven't figured it out. |
