|

Hi all,
Have any of you found a textbook suitable for a class that varies in size from 5-15 students? There's a pool of about 20 businesspeople who attend as often as possible, but any given week has a completely different class makeup. They want a text, but most books are geared towards steady progression of lessons. Do you know of any books structured for 'sporadic' learning? (I know, it's a bad idea. I wouldn't use a book if they didn't insist). Their level varies from what I'd consider 2nd-4th year "western educated" language students.
Thanks for any help!

I used English for Business Communication and it worked really well for my upper-intermediate class in China. You can teach the lessons in order or out of order, depending on what your students want to discuss. It can also be adapted for one-to-ones or larger class sizes (like yours). Be sure to get the CDs as well.
I would also recommend Business English Pairwork (1 and 2). Check out this site for some good books:

Also, if your students are more advanced, you could use Market Leader. I thought it was good but a bit tough for my students. |
