| Just wondering if anyone knows a place in Taipei where I might be able to rent a car for a week or so in Chinese New Year. One of my students told me that if I stay in Taipei for the holiday I'll die of boredom! Another option was the Philippines but at NT$29,500 for 3 nights I thought I might give it a miss!! My plan was to round up my roomates and drive down to Kenting via Toroko Gorge. Would car rental be expensive at this time? If anyone's got any better ideas, let me know! |

| check out the local english newspapers. there's usually ads in there for short and long term car rentals. |
