Trying to avoid having to do a medical check overseas to get the Z visa due to lack of medical insurance. It has to be done in China regardless so I'd just like to get it done there. Does anyone know provinces that don't require this to get Z visa paperwork issued in china?Any first hand recent experience or information

Thank you

ps - checked the sticky already

As far as I know, Jiangsu doesn't. Where are you from? I know that in Canada, some of the Chinese consulates also require you to have a medical before they will issue a visa.

As far as I know Sichuan doesn't, or rather my city of Panzhihua doesn't. I did not have to go through the process and neither have any other of the new foreigners to the city. But this is no guarantee.

hey 7969,

Yeah I have been here for a good six months now with my new wife. Since coming here I have been so busy what with getting ready for my school, planning a wedding party, getting to know the family etc... that I havent done any travelling in this part of China yet.

During the spring break we intend to get around a bit, but even then the wife is restricted by her own working holiday.

Drop me a line when you come, it would be great to meet some new foreign faces. How about a meal and a few beers?

From Aust.
Henan doesn't require a medical before giving a Z visa and coming. Or didn't in June this year.
Medical on arrival for FEC etc is about 300Y
