Tired of the trials and tribulations of TESOL? (That sounds like a soap: "The Trials and Tribulations of TESOL" )
Anyway, if you are ready for that career change, our "friends" at WorldTeach(the same organization from Harvard that charges a $4500 "program fee" to its "volunteers") is now offering something called "Nature Guide Training" in Panama.
It will only set you back a cool five grand for the "training fee". But then maybe you could also teach your TESOL students birdcalls or something. A new "vista" in TESOL. We could call it "Wilderness TESOL"....and some scammy school could start printing up "certificates" which "eveyone needs to teach wilderness TESOL."

Not quite the same but similar....I can't be alone in having pondered the possibility of offering short TESOL 'outdoor' holidays combined with hiking, bird spotting, canoeing etc. I'm sure it would appeal to some...especially adult learners. Now, when I win the lottery...first I'll buy a big house in Devon or Cornwall...then I'll start marketing in Japan, Germany, Korea etc...then....maybe in my next life anyway. |
