My Dad's coming anyway and this way I don't have to worry about customs. Besides IBM doesn't ship internationally (you have to order through local website which means local language os and word). And they don't accept international credit cards (you can only use a credit card issued in the country of purchase). I know some of this sounds stupid I've spent a little too much time researching it!

Gordon, the question is on the other thread.
OP, your dad will still have to go through customs in Japan. I'm well aware that IBM will not send internationally. I'm saying your dad should send it. It might cost you a little bit more but will save a lot of trouble. Shipping domestically isn't cheap.
However if you are still insistant there is a shipping service at Narita airport that will forward luggage to another location. |
