Okay, I know I may be rehashing an old thread here, but I need some replies specifically about this school before I send them my money. Has anyone been/heard about their training course?? How much do they help you after you've finished? Accommodations?
thanks bunches... |

International House is a well know world wide ELT organization. The CELTA is monitered by the University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES) which is also known all over the world. If a school that your applying to has never heard of it, they don't know much about ELT and you might want to reconsider if you want to work there or not.
I can't help you with your questions about job placement or housing, but people have posted here who have taken the course. And as I said on post about this course before, If I had to hire a teacher fresh off a course (like if I was in a pinch due to someone leaving suddenly or backing out) I'd take someone with a CELTA over someone with a certificate from an independent school like ITTO or others. |

Thanks MELEE! This is exactly the kind of stuff I need to know to make my decision! |

I will be reporting on my experiences, as I am already committed to the program. I will sample the local cochinita pibil. (and compare it to that of the Somerville "fonda" restaurant "Tu y Yo.") In the mornings I will get small bills in change from the new Walmart that opened there. I will have Adventures! I am so looking forward to this. |
