I am looking for contacts in reputatble government run schools/ colleges/ universities in Shenzhen ...starting Jan/ Feb 06.
Its my second teaching assignment in China.
All suggestions much appreciated

Maybe you should try looking on one of the hundreds of job posting boards spread across the internet. There is a sticky on this forum containing many of these such websites.
After this you should apply for a job you think may be suitable for yourself, negotiate the job, look at the contract, and negotiate again. We can help you substantiate the contract, but we are not an Employment agency. |

As far as I know, middle schools have joined a project that is run by the education bureau in conjunction with something called "Memphis..." (U.S.-based). This means you would have to apply through their American partner, I guess. I don't think they have a sterling reputation though!
There are a couple of tertiary institutions including the polytehcnic and the Shenzhen University; both are crummy, ill-reputed employers!
FInally there are a number of self-styled "international" schools - some catering to the Korean community implanted in Shekou. |
