I went with some friends to watch the Sendai team play Osaka in Sendai, and was pleasantly surprised to see a more than reasonable sized crowd for the fledgling league's game. The game is carried by the US imports, but the loudest cheers are reserved for the Japanese players of course. Got the feeling that they had to be given the ball more than they should have to gain confidence.
Was flabergasted with the crap you got to fill out to get a ticket from the city office. Geeze. They wanted an adress and a telephone number filled out on a special form before they would give you a ticket. There was more stuff to fill out too, but my Japanese friend did it all for me. |
