At the end of my 30 day visa, I was wondering what cheap ways are there to extend it from Bangkok? Flying Ari Malaysia out and back?

Also, when crossing the border and coming back in, or flying back in, how do you get around the full paid return ticket requirement? or are they look the other way about that? Thanks!

If you look decent, they usually

don't ask to see a return ticket.

re: 30 day on-entry visas

There are 4 visa-run services

operating out of Bangkok

that I'm aware of.

They go by bus or

high-top van, fyi.

I prefer the Quick Thai Visa run since they cross into Cambodia

at a very quiet border (not Poipet) and leave Bangkok at

10am instead of 5 or 6am. Back in Bangkok by 7pm.

It's hassle free; I use it on a regular basis.

the 2,000 Baht fee includes your Cambodia Visa & lunch :: bring a color passport photo!

Generally you won't have any problems this end with a one way ticket. It's usually the carrier that will refuse you if you don't have an outbound ticket (because of the problems they think you could have this end). Although this only applies to flying in as far as I know (i.e. doing a coach or train run will be fine).

You also might want to think about getting a triple tourist Visa from Penang, this will enable you to stay in the country for 9 months, and you'll only have to do two border runs (other than the initial application in Penang).

PM me for details.
