I am planning on coming to Hanoi in March and begin teaching ESL .
I am an American Citizen. Do I need to bring some kind of criminal background check from the US to obtain a working permit or is it easy to get by without one?
Any advice on obtaining one if I am not in the US? Thank you |

Request your criminal record in writing from the local authorities. Then send that to the Việtnamese consulate closest to you - have them fax you a copy and forward the original (translated and verified) versiton to your State Secretary of State and have them verify the notary - have the ORIGINAL given to you and bring that. |
