I promised my friend I would fly him to visit me in January, but I've a bit of a problem... After my visa run, rent, and bills, I've got very little money left. Can anyone suggest a good airline or website to get cheap tickets from the Midwest USA (Cincinnatti, Chicago, Indianapolis, or roundabout), to Istanbul and back? Thanks in advance.

I recommend checking your options at

http://www.itasoftware.com

You can search for the lowest fares on many different
airlines.... can't book it on there, but it's really helpful
if you are flexible and can search for fares within a 30-
day period.

That said, I am looking at fares to come back to IST
at the end of this month. The best fares I have found
were on Expedia.com, Orbitz.com, and then Travelocity.

Good luck! Very Happy

Actually, on one month's salary, I can afford to pay rent, pay bills (including student loans), go to Greece for 2 days, eat and live well, and fly my friend from the states to visit (though, admittedly, that last one is a bit of a strain). I'm totally fine with that, thanks. Yes, I still love my job. Wink

Yeah, but with a 20% APR. With the general stabilization of the YTL, I turn a tidy profit. Wink

Try Kayak.com. I got a flight from Boston to Istanbul roundtrip for under $600 in February.

Hope this helps.

Wow Henry, he can pay the rent on a crap flat he shares, eat out which is dirt cheap in Turkey, pay the electric, go on a bus trip to renew his tourist visa and wow struggle to pay one air fare and he is teaching:

40 hours a week

I was right his job is crap. Holidays are soon so a big drop in pay. Lets hear him say how great it is next month when he cannot do all of the above.
