ARrrRrRRg.

And right when I figured I had it all figured out.

So here's the deal, I was planning on applying for my tourist VISA at the San Francisco Consolate tomorrow. Figured I had everything.

Passport: Check
Photos: Check
Plane Tickets: Check

Medical exam????: Not so Check.

Maybe somebody can explain this page to me....
http://www.chinaconsulatesf.org/eng/qianzhen/zgqz/t48485.htm

In the requirements it has the application form you need to fill out to enter and the "required documents."

But then at the bottom of the page it has the medical exam form included as well. I've had my physical already, but didn't bring this form. I didn't even see it until now.

Then plan was to take my exam there before I found work and have my L changed to a business or work visa (Can do this in Shanghai, already asked 3 schools about it)

I'm going to call the Consolate tomorrow morning and ask, but last time I called I seemed to know more than the girl who I talked to, so any info would be appreciated.

Regards,

Chris.

Under normal circumstances, you don't need to submit a medical examination form, nor do you need to undergo any type of medical examination, to obtain an 'L' tourist visa or an 'F' business visa.

The Chinese government states that "Any person suffering from mental disorder, leprosy, AIDS, venereal diseases, contagious tuberculosis or other such infectious diseases shall not be permitted to enter China." But, this is a warning (so to speak), not something that you have to submit documentation for.

Relax! Give the embassy your passport. You'll have your "L" visa in 4 days!

Have I told you lately that I love you? Have I told, you lately that I care?

Laughing

Seriously, thanks. They never answer their phones so now I can just drive up there.

If you ever need anything, just ask. Well, anything that can be accomplished over the internet that is. Hah.
