When I completed my CELTA with IH, Wroclaw I was offered two jobs: IH, Warszawa and Bell, Szczecin. I sought the advice of my DOS at IH, Wroclaw who advised me to take the Bell job as he said IH, Warszawa didn't have a great reputation. He didn't say they were bad but that Bell were better. Nice advice from someone who's employed by IH! This was almost two years ago so maybe their situation has improved. |

I've heard some not-so-great rumours about IH Warsaw from a good friend, but don't know any details... I'll ask him to take a look at this forum.
I can definitely recommend IH Torun though It's only 3 hours from Warsaw by bus/train and Torun is lovely |

I've heard the same. Especially recently.
I've also heard the same about IH Torun. The thing about IH in Poland is that the schools are operated by different franchisees. The Torun school is part of the Bydgoszcz franchise and that one is owned by somebody with a very very good reputation. I've never met the guy myself but somebody I know well who has impeccable judgement used to work for IH Bydgoszcz and rates the guy very highly indeed.
Problem is that IH are not the best of payers in Poland. You do get lots of training, a proper career ladder (and the help to do a DELTA etc to climb that ladder with) and the IH name always looks good on a CV. But none of those things help pay the bills right now! |

Alex stop making everyone feel miserable
Even if a school only pays 2,500zl per month (like IH or Bell) you're still going to be enjoying a very good style of living. You may think that 6,000zl is ideal for you but at the end of the day this is Poland and compared with many people it's a good salary and more than enough to survive. Unless they screw you for over-the-top rent charges like Bell do!!! |

Why not take a fair cut of the school's revenue and make more than 2,500 a month? Why just survive when you can do well? |
