| Hi everyone - not exactly TEFL related. I am currently working in Latvia and I intend to visit Minsk for a few days in June. I'm wondering if anyone has been to Belarus and has been successful in negotiating their way around visas, or could recommend a reliable website/company that could help arrange travel vouchers and so on. I know a couple of people who have been had visa applications turned down for no good reason. Any travel tips would also be most welcome. |

Tip: Don't go.
Just kidding. I've never been to Minsk, but I did visit Brest once. The visa procedure, for me, was pretty standard: go to the local Belarussian consulate and apply. It took me about 24 hours and maybe $80.
