Does anyone know of any efl employers in the Emirates to contact with a resume. Looking for a place that is easy to obtain a job with. Even if god forbid, it is a commercial school. Right now, location (U.A.E.) is more important than pay or work conditions. Looking for any employers to contact with a resume that don't post vacancies on Dave's or other popular EFL job sites. I have three years experience, two of which are in the ME, an MS (not an MA unfortunately) in education and a CELTA. There has to be some employer out there. Thanks for ANY feedback. Feel free to PM me. |

However, I'm not sure if they do out of country hires (with all the attached paperwork/visas) They do not provide accomodation and pay by the hours worked in class (no prep work etc.) |

Try the schools on this list, though I don't think many if any will be recruiting at the moment.

You could also try the American University in Dubai:
http://www.aud.edu/main.htm
(but I think most of their EFL teachers are locally recruited and the conditions are not great)
There's also the new George Mason University in Ras Al Khaimah ( which I didn't believe earlier, but I've been convinced!)

And there's a British University which has reportedly just opened in Ras Al Khaimah but they don't seem to have a website yet. And one in Dubai that does, but again I don't think they recruit EFL teachers from overseas:

Good luck. I hope you can find something from one of these but I wouldn't stake my future on it. |

If you can't find anything in the UAE - there is a University in Buraimi - it's about 2 years old now and I have a feeling they're recruiting. Can't tell you anything about it - it was pretty disorganised when it first opened - but that's to be expected. Buraimi - though 'officially' in Oman is a few minutes walk from Al Ain and therfore the UAE - it might be worth a try.
PM me for a possible contact.. |
