I have noticed there isn't a board on here for Portugal so hopefully someone with knowledge will look at this one. I am thinking of trying to get work there next year. I will have one years post celta experience with I.H. in Poland prior to the prooposed move. I was just wanting any info on the conditions in Portugal, how easy it is to get work, where to go, where to avoid, what is a decent wage etc. Any information greatly appreciated. |

Hi Philyyy,
Sorry I have no great advice but to add that I have been looking for work in Portugal since October & no luck (however I think because its not exactly the hiring moment). My plan is to go there in March/April & just job hunt.
As well have not found any postings online either. Seems like Portugal is a hard choice for us that want to teach English.
Goodluck! |

have 7 schools then and one of my current colleagues worked for them last year and was quite complimentary. I'll probably just wait until their transfer list comes out in April and take it from there. The wage is apparently easier to live on tan the one I'm getting in Poland and the weather has to be a little warmer so looks positive. |
