I don't think I've ever met anyone who worked there. I recently applied for a position and would like some comments on whether or not you are/were happy working at DLI and the reasons for such.

Thanks in advance for any input you can provide.

You probably already know this....it is a U.S.(Federal) Civil Service outfit. The competition for positions is very keen,to put it mildly.I have never taught at the one in San Antonio...but I have taught overseas(Middle East) using the DLI method.Canned.Boring.But in a very shaky, unstable TESOL worl,a civil service job with the US Government(wth guaranteed pay and benefits) sometimes looks very attractive.

Lessons/content as bnix said. Very attractive salary. Must be willing to get on a plane and fly off to teach/live on very short notice.

BTW, a couple of the 9/11 terrorists were reported to be former students of DLI.
