To my knowledge you should not have any problems at all. You may need to get Spanish residency (register with the city hall, police, etc.) among other things to get the proper paper work done, but you are now officially a citizen of the EU (obviously use your Irish passport/documents when applying).
A friend of mine, born in the states to an Irish father, is now working here teaching English to the Spanish Military (I assume that is not being done under the table!!) after he got his Irish passport. So I'm sure you wouldn't have any problems either.
