Does anyone know of any decent/modern gyms in Bangkok? Preferably around Siam square/MBK area.

Cheers

There are quite a few decent gyms in Bangkok

but based on the specs in your post ...

I'd recommend The Olympic Club, located

on the 8th floor of Pathumwan Princess Hotel,

which connects to MBK on the 1st & 2nd floors.

^ Magandang Hapon Po! Very Happy Kumusta ka kaibigan?

In the larger cities (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya & Phuket)

you'll find decent facilities. Smaller towns? Not too sure.

In a pinch, you can always adopt

my personal approach to fitness

and just jog to the bar.

I am a fitness freak so I do not really drink alcohol. I guess I have to buy some yoga books

The gym I was a member of in central Bangkok was frequented by lots of slender Thai homosexual men, bulging bicepped overly tattooed western meatheads in tandem with their regulation hard nosed 'girlfriends' and a cross section of the Bangkok female population.

I quite liked it till I got bored with pushing, pulling varying lumps of metal and got into feeding the ducks and tramps in Lumpini park instead.
