Anybody out there know of a western quality dentistry set-up in Guangzhou? I'm just looking for a good thorough teeth cleaning!

We went to the Hospital of Stomatology at Sun Yat-sen University (near China Plaza). Phone 83822804 for the second floor.

It's first come first served so if you go early in the morning there is little or no wait. Check in on the ground floor (have ID). They'll give you a clinic 'credit card' and the all important 'book' - 9Yuan if I remember correctly. Then you'll be directed to the appropriate floor. Many of the dentists speak reasonable to good English.

After the initial checkup the dentist made an appointment for work to be done. Cleaning you may be able to arrange over the phone. They're open 7 days a week.

I had treatment for a problem called parodontiosis and was given two bridges, cost 5000 RMB. Quick, reliable, clean.
