I'm currently in the process of getting my work visa in Hong Kong and wanted to make some kind of income while I waited. I was wondering if anyone out there could give me some leads where I might look for work. I'm mainly looking for extra work. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks |

I was once in a similar situation to yours. Having nothing to do for 2 months while you wait for your visa isn't fun. The Immigration Department officials told me that I wasn't even allowed to do voluntary work and any income earning activity was prohibited.
Further, Hong Kong residents won't hire you because they would be prosecuted as much if not more than you for engaging in "illegal activity".
Yes, that's right HK law could render you a criminal for wanting to earn a dollar.
Hear tell that law-makers (that's "law" and not "war") might be thinking of criminalising people who fart in public places, even outside. Beware! |
