If you could become ANY Japanese OBJECT (eg. a tatami mat, paper lantern, stone Buddha, chopsticks, chindogu, fukuwarai, etc, etc) WHAT would you be and WHY?

Im tempted to say a heated toilet seat, because I absolutely loved mine, but I suppose actually being one might be a bit unpleasant at times.

Im really surprised! This is such a cool idea for a topic that I thought there would be loads of replies by now! Maybe there are just too many gadgets to choose from.

Well, I guess I just mistook the Japan thread for the China Off-topic thread. Maybe the teachers in China haven't been completely stripped of individuality and creativity yet... Confused

Oh well.... I thought it'd be fun anyway.

Jim, I couldn't think of a single thing I'd like to be, perhaps a coffee maker, but it isn't Japanese.

I'd be an OL's or university girl's panties !!! To be more specific, I'd be the Hello Kitty panties !!!

I can't believe no one has mentioned this one yet!

And, in case you call me a pervert, notice that I did not say "high school girl" but university girl or OL Smile

Ouch!
Seroiusly though, this like one of those try-hard, lame 5 min warm-up activities to get students to be 'spontanous' and 'creative' but ends up with half the class being plurile and the rest thinking 'I paid good money to say I'm a photocopier?'

I'd be a Hokkairo. If I could get warm just by having somebody punching me, I'll be warm and get tougher at the same time!!

A Tamagochi.

That's probably the only way I could get my super cute Japanese teacher to play with me all day.

Funny, I was just noticing that there seems to be a commonality here: butts.

Well I'm not going to go as far to say I want to be a pair of girl's panties Smile I would be more than happy to simply be a japanese escalator in Shinjuku or Shibuya:)
