Could someone please tell me when the Thai school year starts this year? I realize there may be different start times for different areas and schools, but I would like to come about a month before the school year starts, look for a school and travel around a bit. Thanks in advance.

The Thai TEFL market is so large and so diverse, it's possible to find a position at any time of the year. Things tend to slow down a bit over the hot summer holiday months of March and April, but even then, you can find jobs at language schools and summer camps. For purposes of planning and applying for TEFL positions, the Thai academic year at public schools & universities begins in May and ends in February:

Semester 1 - from May to September

Semester 2 - from October to February

The International School academic year runs from August or September until June or July.
This varies a bit from one school to another, so please use this only as a rough guide.
