I am aware that you need to register for each forum you wish to post to. My question is whether you have to use a different username each time.
I am obviously registered to the jobs forum but now I need to post to the Teacher forum. I would like to keep my username consistent throughout the site. Is this possible? Thanks. |

Once you are logged in you can keep the same name what ever forum you go to. Some forums like the Korea and China forum you need to apply to Dave Sperling for permission to visit and be registered on those forums separately from the general forums. Going to the teacher forums shouldn't require a name change. |

That is what I thought as well but it's not so. When I tried to register again on the teacher forum it said that my email, the one I used for registration for this forum, was invalid. |

send a mail to one of the Moderators or Dave Sperling at [email protected] who will look into it for you.
Dave is the owner of the site and the guy who looks under the hood for you. Worst case you may have to sign up with another email address. easy enough to do with a yahoo account. |

I sent him an email earlier today about it so I should be hearing back soon. I just hate to bug people for what could be a very obvious solution... |

Are yosure you entered in your e-mail correctly?
An "invalid e-mail" statement usually has to do with the person not hitting shift when they press the 2, so instead of getting [email protected] the get me2yahoo.com, or some other typing mistake.
If your email address was already in that forum's database you would have got an "this e-mail address is already being used by another user" error message.
Try again and double-check the syntax of your e-mail address. |

I have the same login for the Teachers forums as for the job forums. You have to register separately, and you get a seperate private messages box.
Your invalid email address message will be because you made a typo. |
