Anyone know if any Asian countries have a need for native Spanish teachers? I am a certified and qualified ESL teacher but am curious about bringing my Latin boyfriend along to teach and travel somewhere is Asia. |

I'm Italian and I live in the Philippines for 2 years. I just got back from Korea after teaching Italian in a University Exchange Program. Spanish is mix with the native language. But I guess just my suggestion you might want to check Zamboanga del Sur or Zamboanga del Norte area they speak Spanish called Chacano something like that but its actually Spanish mix with some other regional dialects. Philippines is a very interesting place culture is more hispanic like latin america because of heavy spanish influence.

If you go to China your boyfriend can probably get a job teaching English there if he knows English decently. There are Germans and Norweigens that teach in China. I think they even hire some Africans. |

Hi. I think China is a good bet. I live in a small city and there is not much demand here for Spanish teachers as of yet. But I have seen a lot of Spanish companies doing business in this particular city and I have heard that at larger universities in larger cities there is a growing demand for Spanish teachers.
I'm American and got my Bachelor's in Spanish. I teach English now but hope to become a double threat someday soon by teaching Spanish and English at some university somewhere.
Good luck.
