Just in case anyone else is curious, the answer is yes. They are still adding employers, but currently they have an Oregon-based university in Tokyo, a corporate training group, a Christian university that advertises frequently, and a certain mutant-animal-mascot-using eikaiwa chain (also A Featured Employer ... OK, I assume this just means they paid some extra money to TESOL, eh?). Originally, I'd thought that advertising with TESOL and making the commitment to go to the conference would be a good sign for an employer, but I don't know.
There are also a couple of Taiwanese university and Korean public school positions (dispatch or headhunter, I guess), plus curriculum development with an English village in Korea, and positions at a well-known Korean sci/tech university.
Supposedly all of these places will be interviewing at TESOL in Seattle in March. Currently, I'm planning to go. |
