Hello panchotino
Based on what I've read about the TESOL program in question:
If you were to follow up the 120 hour theoretical course with
the optional 80 hour practicum, you'd really have a winning
combination, given your BA and teaching experience, imho!
Without the practicum, the basic 120 hour cert would be
accepted by many employers and schools - but not by all schools,
as the observed component (which is lacking in most online courses)
is considered equal to or even more important than the theoretical part.

cheers for the reply mate.
i'm also doing a certificate which allows me to teach adults and groups professionally in the u.k.all being well the volunteering module of that course will be with a local esl teacher.
as regards the practicum offered by the course it seems to insinuate on the website that it only takes place twice a year.I am hoping to be in korea teaching in a public school well before then. I understand where you are coming from though. i'll just finish the theory and take it from there i think.christ, i might even fail the course, who knows? |
