Hey all!

So I'm on my way finally to Talcahuano. I'm in need of an apartment or something. Anyone know of where in Talcahuano (even though its not the best), Concepcion (where I'd probably prefer) or between the 2??? Any suggestions?

Have you tried the university website:

www.udec.cl/clasificados

Look under habitaciones. If the link doesn't work try googling Universidad de Concepcion.

Also the local paper on a Saturday is an excellent resource once you get there.

Somebody once told me that this site was good:

It's called mejores datos, also available in paper. I did't find much in the way of accommodation, but it may be useful for second hand furniture etc.

Last weekend I looked in Mejores Datos and El Sur. I�ve walked around and called about a hundred different places in Concepcion. Many places are VERY expensive, but I�m not sure why! It�s more expensive to get a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment, than to get a 2-3 bedroom house. Crazy huh? Well, I�ll be looking all weekend! I contacted some of the people in the university, and many people are still on their vacations, so it�s a matter of waiting now.

If anyone else has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated!!!!
