Hi everyone. It's been quite a while since I last posted anything, but I continue to learn and benefit from all your discussions.
I have a request for anyone currently in the Emirates: could you let me know what textbooks you use to teach your students? Also, what schools and classes are those texts being used in? Are there texts published by Arab publishing companies like in Korea and Japan? Or are British or American texts more popular? I wouldn't be surprised if India tried to enter this market too
This is information that my professor told me to find out. I am, by the way, just finishing up my MA in TESOL here in Orlando, Florida. I hope to be back to teaching soon. As always, thanks for all your help.
Sincerely,
Atassi
ps As the TESOL 2006 convention takes place this year about two hours drive away from me (Tampa's close), feel free to message me if you need any information. I'll be attending |

Most schools use the UAE Parade series in the primary years, but I have met primary teachers who work with the Trophies series from Harcourt Brace. Not sure what is used at the tertiary level. |

Is the Parade series based on American English? Also, anyone in a university at the moment?
Thanks megs. Your reply is much appreciated |
