Please help!! I have read forums for days and I am still not sure about the questions I am asking myself. I am a canadian without a degree. I plan to get a tesol certificate. As far as I can tell you can not teach in Korea or Taiwan but you may be able to teach in Japan?? Looks like you can teach in China, Thailand or Indonesia.
Can you teach in Taiwan or Korea with a working holiday visa?
Do you know of other countries other than Asis to make a decent living. where you can travel, eat well and live in a nice apartment?
Can you save money enjoying a good life in China?
Anything you can answer would be greatly appreciated.
all the best,
Lisa |

Canadians 18 to 30 years old are eligible for work in Japan under the working holiday visa. It is only valid for 2 six-month stints.
Other visas that permit work without requiring a degree include student visas, cultural visas, dependent visas, and spouse visas.
The main problem will be that many employers have their own requirements for teaching jobs, and many include a bachelor's degree as one of those requirements. You don't need a TESOL certificate to get a job here (but if you plan to teach long term, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one). The problem is, in your case, long-term teaching doesn't seem to be much of a possibility unless you can change your visa status options. |

Absolutely. Living expenses, as housing and utilities are supplied, should be 3000rmb a month or less in most places. The rest you can stash. |

It is absolutely impossible to get any kind of work visa for Korea without a university degree.
China is a good option. |
