For all of you who can't find that elusive Blu-Tack anywhere, I just thought I'd tell you something that happened in one of my classes today...
My students were doing presentations and wanted to stick stuff on the walls, so I gave them some of my precious imported from places elsewhere Blu-Tack and told them that they absolutely had to give back this revolutionary stuff that you couldn't get anywhere in Colombia, but look at how marvellous it is. They all gave me their "the teacher's gone mad again" look, and told me that you can get it at any of the major stationers in Bogota. I told them that I'd been to 7 branches of the major stationers, and that the staff there had given me their "mad foreigner asking for weird plasticine" looks, and then they told me you can get this stuff called "limpiatipos" which is in fact Blu-Tack by another name.
So, good luck!

Not enough for me to worry about..
It usually comes just before they start laughing at whatever joke it is I've just cracked. These are students who are more used to the rigid teaching style of universities and secondary schools than the way we TEFLers do things... Well, that's what I tell myself anyway!! |

It's white and it's used to clean the keyboard of the computer, doesn't work as well as blue tack, but it comes close. |

Is this 20 questions? What is it? In Canada, we have something called Mac Tac, which is green, and is the same as the elusive Blu-Tack. |

I bought it here in Mexico once and it was yellow .
(and short lived--it dried out quickly--maybe the climate got to it) |

That is the version by "Ooh Hoo" (Uh Hu, Uhh Huu? don't remember for the life of me how to spell it). It is available at Comercial Mexicana. You do need to keep it covered or it dries up fast. It comes in pre-cut squares which is nice to. |
