My friend and I are looking to come down in March and teach. Ideally we'd like to work in a smaller town, but we're thinking about San Jose. We don't have any certifications, but we both spent the past year teaching abroad. Will we be able to find teaching positions and support ourselves? |

Might be a little tough in March...Easter Week won't be far off, so I imagine any offers you get will be for late April starts. |

I believe that all universities, language schools and agencies run on their own personal timetables.
Yes, Semana Santa gives us a few days off but our university is only giving Thurs. thru Sunday off. not the whole week.
We also have one week off every 8 weeks (a bimester) so my next holidayis from March 11 - 18th then the new bimester begins.
As far as i know the universities require a BA and a TEFL certificate but never say never, Its always worth a try to get that interview and see where it leads.
Teachers are always coming and going and the most important advice i can give you is to get on the plane and get your butt down here. Its not like the Asian countries, you have to be here to get the interview and the job!
Cheers
