Hi everyone,

My name is Mirit and I am new here in this forum. I am 23 year old teacher trainee from Israel and about to get my B.ED in a semester.

I am really interested in work abroad, I have basic Spanish and lots of energy. I heard that the money in Japan is really good, I was interested in more details. Can anyone help me out? I don't know how to get a job in Japan and is it worthwhile. Besides that, I am also considering teaching in Colombia, so if anyone can give me tips on that I would be very thankful.

Best regerds,

Mirit.

As a non-native speaker of English, you will have a hard time getting a job as an English teacher. For opportunities teaching other languages, you might want to consider contacting Berlitz or NOVA.

Money in Japan has been "good" for a long time, but in the last year or two, wages have fallen. That, plus the high cost of living in larger cities, make for not as rosy a picture as you may have been led to believe.
