hi,
thanks so much to those of you who responded to my last topic, especially to those who were kind in what you said. ive taught two days so far and i really like my students. part of what had been going on was that i was nervous. im wearing ear plugs at times during the day and at night. im actually fine with the noise level. i could probably find a place in mexico where id enjoy retiring, but in japan i just dont see it because of the distance----so thanks for the info on that. i think most likely ill end up going to japan for a while and savign some money, but for now im having fun.
im curious how my pay compares. is anyone willing to share info?
i get paid $4500 pesos a month plus an apartment shared by three of us. our utilities arent included (but we did get our blankets and the school is paying half for a microwave.) negotiation is a good thing!
isnt teaching fun! i like it.
