Are there any groups or clubs that the teachers can join to sort of support each other? Lemme explain what I mean. Right now, I'm in college, and we have a Hmong Student club, a Pan-African student club, a Hispanic/Latino student club, and various clubs for various groups of students from around the world. Is there a club or a union or something like that that all the teachers belong to in most of these countries we teach in? Some way of meeting the other teachers and getting any help or advice a newbie may need? Y'know what I mean?

There are groups like TESOL - www.tesol.org - which offer a student membership. You get publications and access to Special Interest Groups, etc. etc. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for.

Try your local unemployment office for finding returning teachers. Laughing
I'm just joking. You might want to start a club at your college!
These groups are overseen by the individual colleges. Its mostly a matter of getting a large enough number of interested people together. You could ask around the language departments of your local school or university.

What sort of help are you interested in?

If you are planning to work in Japan, you could consider joining ETJ or JALT.

For nearly any country, IATEFL seems as appropriate as TESOL.

I don't know that the kind of clubs you are looking for really exist overseas. But, for networking, "connections", making friends, etc., - groups like Toastmasters, Rotary, etc. exists almost everywhere (major cities oveseas anyway) - and are generally quite welcoming.

Generally, I think that you would find them more helpful than the types of clubs you are talking about. Just my opinion.
