Does anyone know...?...
i entered TW w/ a TW passport & am currently working as an ROC citizen. When i do return to the states, since there is no record of my entering any foreign countries in my US passport, do i need to stop in another country first? i have received different opinions on this topic but i am a little worried since the US does not recognize dual citizenships. Please help... |

go_lightly hao ma?
You will not have problems entering the USA with an American passport that has no visas stamped in it...the law states that if you are a US citizen then you MUST use your US passport when leaving and entering the USA...BUT you may use any other passport(s) that you may possess when outside the country.
In other words, "dual-citizenship" may not be recognized, but many of us possess passports from other nations, and we sometimes choose to use them when we travel overseas...
(refer to the US State Dept. for exact info) |
