I heard from a friend in Argentina that the "Happy Tour" bus actually pulled up at Cleverlearn and a bunch of (I believe) Israeli/Italian (think Fabio) heart throbs jumped out WITH CVs IN HAND, all laser printed on heavy cotton paper which you can't even find in SE Asia. The CVs hadn't even been folded. Many of these guys (and gals) were still glassy-eyed and quite high from the Super Happy Pizza over in Cambo but they were nevertheless hired on the spot. Finally, in several real strokes of nearly unbelievable good fortune for everyone involved, a cheap silk/polyester tie peddler rode up to the site just as they arrived and he was able to sell out his entire stock. A lady selling saris was similarly mobbed and is now retired in Hoi An. The neighborhood shoeshine boys convinced the backpackers to polish their neon flip flops for just 20K per foot, and lunch was served. From what I've heard, the backpackers are now all happily teaching English in Vietnam, many are soon moving up to DOS and things are all good. In fact, economic growth in VN, Laos and even Papau New Guinea is forecast to now triple due to this perfect storm, all of which started with the Super Happy Pizza on the riverfront in Cambo. |

Hopefully it'll all work out as nicely for you if you do decide to go to China, lexpat.

No. Lightening seldom strikes twice. If I go to China I'm taking my suitcase to the interview. |
