Hi, im new to the site, and poster this in the taiwan forum, but was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or ideas here as well:
the HESS system was recommended to me as a good company to work for. i was wondering though, how does it work exactly. I am in the US and looking to eventually teach in an international school once i obtain my teachers cert. however, i am also looking at this as a possibility to get some international exp. I have a BA in psychology (with former dreams of being Freud dashed- its an interesting field, but very unstable!). Specifically, here are a few of my questions on the company:
-do they provide airfare to taiwan for those in the States or elsewhere
-what are the differences in the different types of contracts?
-do they offer housing or a housing allowance?
-are teaching terms typically one-two years?
-are teachers place in housing, or is there onsite housing, or a subsidy?
any other thoughts on the matter also greatly appreciated!
