ELS Jeddah was okay when I worked part time for them. That was a few years back but I do not suppose they have changed. Conditions for part-timers were better than for full-timers who usually worked a split shift.
Cant comment on your place in Mecca. |

Thankyou very much scott. Does anyoone know what someone should expect to earn as a full timer at ELS or similar institutes?
I am fairly new to the world of ESL, I have nearly completed 1year teaching with a school in sharjah, UAE and have worked part time for Berlitz in the UAE. I am a uk passport holder with a ba from london university in Philosophy and am looking to do a celta, or tefl soon.
Even a rough estimate would be very helpful. |

8000 riyals a month plus accomodation, tickets and health cover. That is an entry-level position and I am assuming after CELTA or similar with a bit of experience.
I am not sure on how keen they are about hiring 'reverts'. Not all employers in KSA welcome those who have taken that road. Expereince has shown some that some wantt o spend all their waking hours taking about Religion. That is not always what students expect. |
