As far as I know, there are no LAWS in any of the Gulf countries that distinguish between a Chinese wife and any other foreign wife. If you are offered employment (by a reputable school) your wife and any children will be eligible for a dependent visa. The Arab world is generally a very "family friendly" place.

My wife is Mexican and that was never an issue (though being confronted with a Mexican passport always slowed things up a bit in immigration).

Whether your wife well feel confortable living within the social constraints and social attitudes in this or that country is an entirely different question. Everyone will just automatically assume that she is Philipino. Even the other Philipino's assumed my Mexican wife was Philipino. And as Philipino women are overwhelmingly employed as household servants, this might lead to some problems when she's by herself. As long as she's will you there's really no problem.

As Abufletcher says there shouldn't be a problem, as long as you are legally married and can produce the marriage documents. (I'd be sure that they are in English) The Gulf is full of 'mixed' marriages. Cool

One crucial issue for her happiness may be her ability to speak English and mix with other cultures herself. And yes, she will often be mistaken for the 'maid.' Can she deal with that?
