From your experience of various organisations which provide home stays in the UK, can anyone recommend a good one? Many years ago I used one which placed students in homes where one of the 'parents' was an EFL teacher and this worked out really well. However, organisation and contacts now are long gone, I'm afraid.

"Intuition" which is an "International House" Franchise is worth a look. Avoid "Home Language International" who are horrendously expensive. My advice really would be to avoid going through any Homestay agency if you can as they simply take a huge cut for very little effort.
